My Christian Adult Family Homes Directory helps provide resources to faith-based care for your loved ones

I’m Lori, founder of Christian Elder Homes

Hi, I’m Lori Marsh. I’ve been married to my husband, Chuck, for 16 years. Family is such an important part of my life. I have two adult sons from a previous marriage, a beautiful adult stepdaughter, and a precious granddaughter who brings so much joy to our family. I’m also a preacher’s daughter of 49 years, and my parents are still faithfully serving in ministry in Indiana. I am the oldest of 3 children; I have a younger brother and sister. For the past 19 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving our amazing elderly community through assisted living, home care, home health, and placement. Today, I’m honored to own Restoring Hope, an elder placement agency that has been serving Western Washington State for 11 years, as of 2026, and now this site, Christian Elder Homes.

Growing up, I did not live near any of my grandparents. We usually only saw them during spring break or summer break, and I always missed having regular time with them. That longing became part of what drew me into senior care. I wanted to spend time with older adults, hear their stories, and serve them in a way that honored their lives.

My inspiration for serving the elderly came from my late grandma

My sons, my granddaughter, and me

My grandma was the inspiration behind this work, and her photo appears on all of my literature. She has since passed away at the age of 94, but her life and legacy continue to inspire the heart behind everything I do.

In 2007, I began working as the marketer for an assisted living company. From there, I continued serving seniors and families placement services providing adult family home care, nurse-supported home care. In 2015, I started my own placement agency, Restoring Hope, and I have truly loved helping families and care providers connect with one another.

I also served on staff for five years with Liberty Road Foundation, a Christian nonprofit, supporting communities across King, Pierce, and Thurston counties.

Over time, I have also wanted to find a better way to help Adult Family Home owners receive placement clients without having to pay a placement agency 100% of the first month’s care. A friend and I have spent the past months creating a Christian AFH website designed to help owners connect with new clients for a small fee of $149 /mo, per adult family home (with a 12-month commitment).

I'll also be promoting this website to bring more awareness to the Christian AFHs listed here. My prayer is that this becomes an amazing blessing for families and our Christian Adult Family Homes.
